Hear, hear!  I would say something closer to "a lot" of gratitude is due GB.
What he accomplished, and the dramatic way in which the results suddenly
appeared, should serve as an inspiration for underdogs for all time.  Always
believe, always persevere.

It's too bad Barnett isn't a more sympathetic character in the public
opinion of today; I always thought the story of the rebuilding of
Northwestern Football would make a pretty good movie.
