[NU Sports] worst loss ever

I remember the 1972 loss at home to Ohio State:

The dOSU led Griffins led the charge down field and put the bucks up 7-0

The Cats then took the ball and held it for well over 15 minutes, eventually
scoring and tieing the game at 7-7 very close to the end of the half.

But on the ensuing kickoff, one of the speedy OSU kick returners ran the ball
back for a TD and the Cats could only manage one more TD before losing 27-14 as
the Griffins ran wild at the old Dyche.

It was the first Mitch Anderson team - but I don't remember who the RB was who
was so instrumental in keeping the drives alive. I thought it was Jim Pooler,
but he has no yards for 1972, so I'm not sure who it was.

Suffice to say we thought we were watching the upset of the decade, maybe of all
time, but it was not to be....

We drowned our sorrows in Southern Comfort on a cold, damp November day in Dyche
