> Anybody else excited about the OSU game?
Dunno if I'd jump *that* far ... they're still the
best team in the nation and will be angry and focused
after the close call in Illiniland.

Well, Ginn and Gonzalez and the OSU line are a bit of
a step up from Iowa.
> This was the game I was hoping to see this year.

On that I'll definitely agree - we really looked sharp
on O and we took chances with well-timed blitzes and
some close coverage on D.

There's the big deal - you're right. Obviously this
season was a frustrating one of finding our way
through tragedy, new coaches and key injuries ... but
it looks as if Coach Fitz has guided us through. The
way he's done that -- especially after the huge
double-downer of the MSU loss and captain Nick Roach's
injury -- is just amazing. And watching CJ mature has
been fun as well. Having him healthy all this season
would have been a big difference in our record (at
least 3 more wins, IMO), and having him back next year
with health and experience will be key.
And I love the "take the run away" philosophy as well.
Remember that this year it might not work as well
because all of the Big Ten - save NU and PSU - had
their QBs back. But next year some of those guys will
be gone and we'll have to make the new guys prove they
can pass.
> We can play with anyone.
Yes - it'd be nice to show that against OSU and I
think we'll try hard, but toppling #1 is a big task.
More likely is that we keep improving and knock the
Illini around in two weeks to keep that trophy.
GO CATS!!!
