For a number of years, ALS has been the charity of choice for the 
Philadelphia Phillies.  Ironically, this very night they are spending their 
off-night at the stadium in a fund raising activity consisting of auctions 
and all sorts of activities where the public can interact with the players. 
Their goal is $750,000.  I'm sure all pro teams do something of this nature.

Mr. Scott is watching too many Jay Leno monologues, never a good source for 
factual information (and deliberately so).  He might want to check into the 
speculations of oil future traders.
