Your punk is my "hero" for all the same reasons.
 
AJ is a competitor who will do whatever it takes to win.  Isn't that what
you admire about Barrett?
 
When AJ was with the Twins, he wore out the Sox.  Now that he is with the
Sox he gets under the skin of most everyone that the Sox play.  He and
Barrett are actually pals, but to both of their credit, they don't let
friendship get in the way of winning.  Cubs could use more guys like that.
 
BTW, the officials should give the players an opportunity to settle it on
the field.  This is admittedly more complicated in the AL because of the DH,
but the players and managers still seem figure out how to get it done when
they are allowed to.  The umps should get involved when there is an intent
to injure rather than just plunk someone on the backside or take them out on
the basepaths. 
 
Guillen expects his players to play the game hard.  CLee isn't there
anymore, for example, because he chose not to take out a Twins infielder on
a play at second base after a similar collision at home plate.  
 
Instead you get the silly display yesterday where Zambrano thought AJ had
shown him up and threatened to hit him, and the next time AJ was up Zambrano
couldn't throw a pitch even near the plate for fear of getting tossed.

Yeah that is the same Michael Barrett............
 
Sometimes you need to do dumb things to get your team fired up. These
overpaid jackasses were going out there day in and day out scoring less then
2 runs a game. 
Atleast it showed he cared.
 
Now I know many of you won't agree with this because you all are from the
old school but its the truth. 
 
And AJ deserved it more then anyone.
 
Now I will agree with you about the "cash cow Wrigley" comment. People need
to go to the games and boo or not go at all until they put a winner on the
field.
Doesnt help much with 40 million on the bench though.
