Unfortunately the Drysdales and Gibsons aren't tolerated anymore.  I 
remember when Koufax   wouldn't knock down a Giant, Marichel I think, so 
Johnny Roseborough, the Dodgers' catcher, whistled one past Juan's ear
 when he threw the ball back to Koufax.  That prompted Marichel to chase 
Roseborough with has bat.  Guys like that were entertaining.  I heard an 
interview with Willie Mays last week and he made the point that he was 
there to play the best that he could but also to provide entertainment.
