[NU Sports] The "I Quit" Syndrome

Reminds me of the truly senseless kids game played here in Michigan
primarily by boys called Bitey-Bitey. It's where each kid puts a finger in
the other kids mouth and then they bite until one kid gives up. Proves
little and creates a lot of pain.

I think Roy has submitted his bold and daring entry into the "how far back
can we go to find a grudge" competition currently holding sway onthe
nwu-sports list.

Current Standings:

1. Roy Lamberton: The Civil War, 1860-1865
-- this entry a.k.a. "Those Southerners Sure Are Dumb!"
2. Jim Bendat: Those Southerners Sure Are Dumb! (Part 2), 1925 3. Brandt,
et al.: FDR - Savior, or just lucky?, 1933-1945 4. Bob Schooler: My Roomie
Didn't Get Drafted, I'm Still Pissed, 1969

Credit is not given for Lamberton's earlier entry, "Those Christian
Communists of the First Century" because no one engaged him on it.

I'm still looking for something in American history that's earlier - maybe
someone could try to respond to a discussion of LaCrosse by bringing up the
French and Indian Wars?

Jonathan
