Actually, I appreciate Mr. DeGroat's sky-is-falling attitude, as a nice polemic edge to the spectrum of discussion. I also like his almost Dickensian-sounding name which fits his opinions so well. I could almost picture his name becoming part of the lexicon, a la "pickwickian" or "scroogelike". Perhaps as in the sentence, "Things were looking up for the squad until they became dismayed by all the degroating in the audience."
