[NU Sports] Soccer cats hazing -- blown out of proportion

Apologies to all, but I've, yet again, been randomly taken to task in public
by Mr. DeGroat and I would like to respond, so with your patience:

John,

I'm a little tired of anyone who disagrees with you being insulted. God
forbid, someone writes something that you find to be a personal or
ideological affront, and they "will never get it". Go start up a Board of
people who only feel the way you do if we all are so off target. I prefer a
discourse where differing viewpoints are backed up with knowledge, fact,
humor, and passion. Not insults.

Now to defend:

Hey, pal. Read my post more carefully. I put the blame for dishonoring the
dignity of the White House on the past TWO Presidents (the one who lied about
WMD's AND the one who lied about Monica). My point being that the lack of
dignity shown by our leaders IS bipartisan. Stop changing other people's
words to fit your arguments.

Further, I said what I said with respect, but since you have done nothing but
disrespect me and my words, than maybe you should take a look at what that
personal need of yours to be right all the time is all about. I said from the
beginning it was just my opinion, not my need to be correct. Remember
the "disagree" part of my post? Of course not.

I was never talking politics. I was talking taste and NU championships. You
are the one who brought up partisan politics, as you always do when someone
disagrees with you.

Again, with respect, and with the wish that some of us would get that back
from you, or better yet, you'd just join the rest of us in having time-
passing, fun-filled DISCUSSIONS about our boys and girls in Purple. Not
diatribes about why we're all wrong and you're ALWAYS right.

Sorry to the rest of you, but I've had enough.

Jason Singer
