Well over on the Lacrosse side, they can bypass teams with outstanding records
in favor of teams that lost to the team with the outstanding record in the name
of "parity," "transportation," or some other snake oil reason so why not let NU,
with its decent conference record in.

Unfortunately for the Diamond Cats, you're probably right.

NU usually runs out of pitching in the semi-final game too.
