[NU Sports] Randy Walker, Broadway phenomenon

I went to Clearwater, Florida, this past week for Phillies spring training and traveled to Bradenton to watch them play the Pirates at their training complex.  While there, I naturally visited the beer stand which was manned by several old fellows who had retired to Florida some years back, one of whom claimed  to have been Randy Walker's teacher in high school.  I naturally asked about the coach's younger days and was told that he had been a great fellow and just as good a student.  I then received information that shows that the coach is a well rounded guy - not speaking in physical terms.  It seems that he was not only a stellar athlete, but he played Tevye in the school production of Fiddler on the Roof.  I wonder if he knew how prophetic If I Were a Rich Man was?  
 
Don't know if it's true.  Just repeating what the old fellow said.
