[NU Sports] OSU, Georgetown, and Princeton

On the flip side, you really gotta question Motta's
coaching. We saw this one coming a mile away on the
list - OSU had problems with NU twice this year
because he refused to change the OSU defense to adapt
to the offense -- as PSU had effectively shown how to
shut it down. That stubbornness against the better
athletes of Georgetown really cost the Bucks, a #2
seed playing virtually a home game to get into the
Sweet 16. I know the tourney comes at coaches quickly,
but once the brackets were announced, he should have
gone back to the NU tapes and at least found something
else to try against the Princeton offense.

Oh well, pretty crappy showing by the Big Ten --
outside of Illinois (who were jobbed by the refs --
one free throw in the second half vs. twentysome, and
UI was the team with a big lead?!?!), no one really
seemed to be ready for the big dance. Oh well, on to
football.:)

As for NU, hopefully Carmody's incoming class lives up
to the expectations. I don't think we expect to get
the athletes Georgetown does, but a step up for the
offense would be nice (and the ability to stay healthy
and not make boneheaded decisions to go pro early!:) )

GO CATS!!!
