>From a football standpoint, I hate the game. UNR is tough, and the sports
radio guys in Vegas are always griping that Reno is better than UNLV in both
money sports, and they think that is inexcusable.

Having said that, Reno is an awesome town, a lot of fun, more of the
wild-west and honky-tonk gambling feel of old-time Vegas. And, Lake Tahoe is a
short drive away, as well as the high Sierra country, old mining towns, etc. As
fans (and tourists), it is a great destination.

Our games (and every college game, for that matter) are being bet, no matter
where they are played. At least in Nevada, the 'action' is highly
regulated, controlled by bottom-line corporate casinos (who would never dare tamper
with things, and risk their licenses to print money), and taxed to contribute
to the betterment of society.
