good stories, here are a couple of mine.  Brickhouse was a friend of  my 
father and me, we had many drinks at the tavern club, he told me that he quit  the 
cubs because one day he was sitting on the team bus and some young player  
was giving him a hard time and the kid was making about 20 times as much as  
Brick, he got so mad he quit the next day, biggest mistake of his life he  
claimed.  I also knew Harry, I saw him at a bar on Division street one  afternoon, 
he was his usual half drunk self.  The cubs had just signed Ron  Cey who had 
been beaned the season before, I said to Harry "what about the  penguin? Another 
cub scared of the curve ball?" Harry took a swing at me he was  so pissed. No 
harm done.
btw, I am both a cubs and sox fan, it's  possible.
