I agree that you have to love the guy.
He isn't looking for excuses and will expect the best from his players day
one.
As the rest of my post said, I think that PF will get this going in the
right direction in a hurry and that the whole anxiety about the impact of
coaching changes is also just an excuse to accept less than the best from
the coach that you have.

While I understand the above thinking, I'm no longer buying it. Last night,
Fitz was interviewed on Comcast Sportsnet Chicago. One of the reporters
discussed the above issues, telling Fitz something to the effect of "A lot
of people have suggested that 2006 was going to be a rebuilding years for
the Wildcats, even if Coach Walker was still around. You lost your star
quarterback, you lost your star linebacker and a number of other key
players. What do you think about that?"
Fitz's answer was beautiful. He refused to accept the bait; refused to
acknowledge that such excuses are acceptable. Instead, he replied, "Isn't
football great?! There are always new challenges."
