[NU Sports] Fitz: The First Look

He is doing an absolutely magnificent job at the Press Conference.  He  is as 
articulate as I remembered from the Rose Bowl "Pep Rally", just more  mature 
and self-assured.  What a fabulous, inspired choice!  Kudos to  President 
Bienen and AD Murphy (and the Board of Trustees, which Fitz was  careful to thank) 
for their collective wisdom and their courage.  We have a  coach who was born 
and bred to run the NU football program and who would rather  be HC at NU 
(except not under these circumstances, as he made perfectly clear)  than anywhere 
else.   I know that we are in good hands, and that  "Coach Walk" is smiling 
in his eternal rest--and clapping that always-upbeat  little clap he always did 
on the sideline, whether we scored a TD or fumbled the  ball--one of my 
enduring memories of him from watching countless games on  TV.  I look forward to 
many more happy years watching the 'Cats.  One  day I hope we will look back on 
this as the end of the Walker "golden  era" and the beginning of the Fitz 
"platinum era".
