Jeff Harris recently pointed out on this list:
"given that the defense finished 117th (of 117) in total defense and 106th
in scoring defense (never mind poor showings the previous years as well), I
wouldn't be offended if a defensive expert were brought on board."
I am not close enough to the program to know about the outstanding work
Brown has done in recruiting, presumably on defense since that is his
specialty, and in particular the defensive backs. Can someone identify for
us the great recruits from the past eight years that came to NU because of
Brown's recruitment activity - particularly on the defensive side of the
ball where NU has so prominently distinguished itself?
