Glad to see both those backs headed to the pros.:)
Wisky and Minny should be solid teams next season, but
both should be solid mid-pack league teams and we can
take 'em!:)
As for best back next year, I love Sutton, but I'll
have to see what he can do as a sophomore with
defenses keying in on him now that Baz is gone. He's a
talent, but he did slowdown toward the end of the
season and we'll need to figure out how to get him the
ball and keep defenses honest.
Hart probably has the edge if healthy given that he's
gone through the sophomore slump and has more talent
around him on offense. But don't forget Pittman at OSU
either. He has that breakaway speed as he showed in
the Fiesta and with all OSU's weapons, he'll be third
or fourth on opposing defenses stop list.
Interesting to see how the league's shaping up for
next year. With Vince Young gone, OSU has a good shot
in Austin now and has to be the early favorite for the
league crown and a possible return to Arizona in
January. But Michigan's always there, Iowa will get
better (if Ferentz doesn't go to the NFL) and PSU
won't slip too far either.
After that, there's the bowl contender, but not league
contender, pack. Basically everyone but Indiana and
Illinois - and don't be surprised if they're in the
mix too.
How many days do we have to wait?:)
