[NU Sports] Not everything's coming up Roses ...

Interestingly, I worked the opening segment of the Rose Parade this morning.
I wrangled and managed the talent (dancers, aerialists, musicians) you saw
in the Leeann Rimes opening segment, which if you saw, you then know I got
to spend a lot of time with some incredibly beautiful dancers and circus
performers, which made a very wet day a little less rough.

I worked from 10PM last night until an hour ago and it did not stop raining
for more than 10 minutes the entire 14 hours, but more importantly, I can
tell you with absolute truth that Leann Rimes did NOT lip sync. The women
who introduced her did, but Leeann sang live to a track and was a true pro.

That said, while I'm no fan of either country music or gimmicks, the Rose
Parade NEEDS that kind of thing. Ratings have been in the toilet for some
time now and they felt they needed to do something to get people watching.

It was my first time back at the Parade since we played there and I gotta
say, in spite of the rain, the crowds were amazing and those crowds were
totally into the experience. It just made me wish we were playing in the
game all the more.

Off to sleep!

Good to see some of you in El Paso!!!
