[NU Sports] Not everything's coming up Roses ...

Ouch - watching the "only parade I'd ever care to
march in or watch -- including homecoming:)" on TV
from Pasadena today is painful! The wind ... the rain
... the USC band:) ... someone in Pasadena has angered
Mother Nature!

Could it be that the bowl has had only one traditional
Big Ten-Pac 10 matchup in the last five years (with
more visits from Big XII land than Pac 10 or Big Ten)?

Could it be that the Rose Parade of all things has
stooped to the pop/country star corny lip-sync
performances to "spice up" the demos instead of
sticking to their amazing floats and traditional
bands?

Whatever the case, it sure doesn't seem like Bowl Day
with no sun in Pasadena and no real Rose Bowl. Thanks
BCS!

Wow - it really doesn't seem like a decade ago that we
had to get up at the hotel sooooo early, put on the
NUMB uniform and march in that parade! And getting a
tour of the floats up close a couple nights before was
just amazing - the amount of skill and work that goes
into those. What a blast - hope the purple can return
to Pasadena sometime soon.
