I suspect there is not a bowl venue that could not become a lame experience
for someone.  Bowl trips are what you make of them.  

I've been to El Paso a few times, it has world-class museums, possibly
the best German restaurant I've ever been to, far surpassing those in
the Chicago area, some highly underrated wineries, great mountain views, etc.

If none of those tickle your fancy, Juarez is just across the river.
