I don't know why there's the perception that we're "totally dependent 
on the 3-point shot."  It often seems that way when we lose, like we 
did against Penn State.  For one thing, we got behind big and started 
to rely on 3s to get back in the game (which we were successful at for 
a while, thanks to Seacat).  But when we WIN, it's often not due to 
3-point shooting.  Look at the Wisconsin game.  We shot 18 of 24 from 
the free thrown line, and we only had 12 (of 62) points from the 
3-point line.  Unfortunately, we don't always seem to be able to pull 
off the "backdoor cut," which greatly limits our ability to get inside 
(or the other teams seem to figure it out as the game goes on).
