[NU Sports] Chuck times two

Interesting post on the football/basketball question,
Chuck. I remember a few years back at work when we
were snubbed by the NIT and someone tried to rib me
about it and I replied -- with a straight face -- that
we were a football school anyway.:) And while we may
not be pigskin crazy like folks in some other places,
it is a worth noting that football is king -- as much
of a king as you can be at NU -- in Evanston. On the
list, in town and campus enthusiasm, etc. So perhaps
that's the reason. I really hope it's that and not
some vendetta.

As for the Friday football post ...

Will we miss class? I'm not sure NU won't still be in
new student week then with the late start. In any
case, it's not ideal, but it does get us more TV
exposure. At least we don't totally have to screw up
our schedule with Thursday, Friday and even Tuesday
games like the smaller conferences have done in past
years.
