[NU Sports] No ifs and and, hopefully, no Butz

Yes it was in 1977 that the story boke about his holocaust denial book I was 
a naive student at the time.--Some say he was just a front, that the Nazi 
groups needed a "credible " author- and a prof from NU would provide that. But on 
several  subsequent occasions, he has expoused these views--and all NU can do 
is disavow them


He was interviewed on WNUR and came out as expected--sounding like a complete 
jerk, with a lot of facts wrong--

Unfortunately I think we felt we had to hold our nose and let him stay so 
long as he wasn't teaching that crap--  Funny, around the same time Earl Butz had 
to resign as Sec Of Agriculture for making a racist  and very insensitive 
joke  which was reported  by John Dean (he had overheard him say it)- in the 
Rolling Stone -and some of the Nazi facists overseas thought the 2 guys were the 
same
