I raised that question a number of years ago and got the usual BS about
being tenured and that what he says hs nothing to do with electrical
engineering. The real question is why was as he given tenure in the
first place.

At the end of World War II, my dad who was a pathologist in the Army
Medical Corps was supposed to go into Buchenwald and gather medical
evidence for the Nuremberg trials. As it turned out, he had so many
points that they shipped him home for discharge otherwise I doubt that
he would have gotten home before 1946. I take offense at guys like
Butz. Eisenhower was smart when he had the signal corps take pictures
at all of the concentration camps that we liberated. He reasoned that
after a few years, there would be people denying that they ever
existed. I also take offense at Bernardine Dohrn being on teaching at
the law school, but taht is another story. Keeping people like that
around gives Northwestern a bad name.
