We were at the game also.

I do not know about horrid on both sides of the ball but the Cats definitely had some calls either go against them or blatant no-calls. Can somebody explain what a goaltend is? From my perspective there were 2 on VV's early in the 1st half.

I did not get a chance to ask Murphy about Dunbar at the FBC reception before the game. I did ask Coach Robinson "What's wrong with Cote?". I got a coachspeak answer about "rust". A couple of other "evil boosters" commented privately that the answer seemed evasive. It is good to see him play better, but 1 rebound. Ouch!

I loved our aggressive turnover creating defense, but other than MH and VV driving to the hoop, our under the basket presence both defensively and offensively was yucky.

Esch, Bienen, Pomeday, and mini-Esch(Jeff) spoke at the reception also. The last two speaking about Esch's induction to NU's hall of fame. Bienen had a few cute stories, but mostly he was asking for the big $$$$$ for athletics. If you have a million or two lying around please send it to 1501 Central Street. Esch did mention that everyone of his 32 teammates graduated!

The referees were just horrid on both sides of the ball, but it certainly made the game more interesting.

I think Carmody may be warming up to Cote - some of the postgame comments to Eanet indicated that we should probably see much more play time out of him in the rest of the season. He went from 6 minutes vs. Indiana to 19 in Saturday's game.
