[NU Sports] Recruiting Rankings

Fellow Wildcat Faithful,

I would certainly enjoy seeing 4.0 star recruits headed to NU, but
realistically, not many of them have the near 4.0 GPAs that we require. 

The reality for NU, and other academic schools like Vanderbilt, Stanford, and
the service academies, you have to take what you can get in terms of raw
athletic talent and win through player development (coaching) and a system that
compliments your available talent (coaching). 

I remember reading that the seniors on the '95 Rose Bowl team, as a recruiting
class, were ranked #92. Ever since, I haven't put much stock in recruiting
class rankings. 

Now, whether or not we have the right coaches in place to develop our recruits
is an entirely different conversation.
