I think all bowl games have to have a sponsor and/or a TV contract per 
NCAA guidelines, though a bowl game that loses its sponsor has a year or 
two to find a new one before it loses certification.

However, I think in the case of the Alamo Bowl the sponsor is the
San Antonio Conventions and Visitors Bureau.
