Interesting article in the Trib about much needed renovations to 
Welsh-Ryan.

Good analysis about the need to upgrade it for recruiting purposes and 
scheduling purposes.  The arena itself is fine and its a good size to 
make a great home court advantage, particularly if we could start 
winning and drawing good crowds.  The students are close and loud and do 
a great job - if we could fill up the rest of a small arena, it would 
become the toughest place to play in the Big Ten, especially combined 
with our style of play.  I'm encouraged by even this small commitment of 
money to basketball.
