No ESPNU here, either, my cable company says "they're working on it", but
at least the WGN webcast worked for me.
I wonder if ESPN will replay the game on some other channel at some point?
I LOVED that the first points in the Pat Fitzerald era came on a
blocked punt, and that the defense had their best effort since shutting
out Oklahoma in 1997.
Fitz's postgame comments focused on the defense, which he characterized
as a wounded animal with something to prove, special teams (which he
coaches), and the growing confidence of Mike Kafka during the game.
The last NU coach to win his first game was John Pont (1973). The last
NU coach to win his first two games was Alex Agase (1964). The last
NU coach to win his first three games was Dick Hanley (1927).
The only other time NU defeated Miami of Ohio was at home in 1963, under
Ara Parseghian.
