Miami: As much as we shouldn't give reasons for being 1-6 vs. the MAC
daddies, there has been a "clink" in the Redhawk arsenal since Big Ben left. The
last two games in this series, Northwestern has been leveled by a Super Bowl
QB (...I have a thought...Peyton Manning 1997 Citrus Bowl?).
In 1995 RW's Redhawks lost only one game. This was before bowl tie-ins,
and somehow Miami sat at home.
1972-1994: Historically good team vs. NU in the Dark Ages. Nuff said.
I can see an advantage of Miami playing at home vs. BCS team. The
examples are too numerous to cite that non-BCS teams at home REALLY get up for these
games.
But we'll be ready. A veteran OL and defense will be up for the task.
It will not be easy. I predict we'll maintain a 10-14 point lead, but hang on
by our toenails. I predict a 34-31 victory. I see TS and Jordan and
Roberson rolling up 300 yards. Please, someone become a punter. Clock Management
and punting/punt coverage will decide games this year.
I'm excited, but saddened that our beloved coach will not be on (in) his
rightful place.
Trust the Plan, Eric
