[NU Sports] TV for Miami (OH)

Unfortunately, I don't think the NU-Miami game will be on GamePlan. I did
some looking into this a couple of weeks ago, and it appears GamePlan starts
September 2nd, which is two days too late. Also, I seem to recall reading
either on this list or some message board a while ago that games on ESPNU
have never been included in GamePlan. I hope that is not true, since I plan
to order the package for the first time this summer/fall.
We had Time-Warner Cable the last few years and ponied up for the per-game
fee on the occasions when NU wasn't on one of the channels we normally got.
Now we have Dish Network, but ESPNU is only included with either the
"Everything" package or the "Top 180" package. We subscribe to the "Top
120" package, which doesn't include ESPNU. I think I may simply upgrade our
programming package one tier a few days before the opener and see how long
we want to keep it. I figure it will set me back an extra $10 or so per
month, which isn't a bad deal considering other potential alternatives
(ordering game-by-game, traveling hundreds or thousands of miles to see the
games live, or spending $$ on food and drink at a sports bar). Plus then I
get a slew of other new channels to keep me from doing anything productive .
. . okay, maybe I'd be better off at the sports bar. :)

The game may be available on pay-per-view via ESPN's GamePlan, which
is available on most cable networks (including Comcast) as well as on
the internet. You have to pay a weekly or annual subscription fee,
though (it was $20 for a weekend last year). I don't know if they
have announced which games will be available yet, though, but their
website is here:
