[NU Sports] Walker's Future

Sure hope Stephen's optimism bears fruit, especially since on Oct. 29 I'm
making my first visit to Ryan since '73, and for homecoming, on national TV,
and on a Saturday night, to boot. But the glass half-empty part of me says
we could be on the losing end of some non-thrilling, one-sided Big 10 games.
I'll be pleased to say I was wrong, if that turns out to be the case.

I expect the rest of our home games -- with the possible exception of Iowa,
though they are struggling now -- to be similar to the lifetime's worth of
thrillers that we've been blessed to see in Evanston in the last decade. I
dunno if we'll always come out on top -- last week proved we can just as
easily get burned by the cardiac finishes -- but they should be
entertaining.
