[NU Sports] Walker's Future

Fellow Wildcat Faithful,

I think 7 seasons is long enough to assess any coach's potential to run a
football program. I think there are generally four categories of coaches: 

1) Great program builders (& great recruiters)
2) Great gameday coaches  (the guys who make great adjustments)
3) Great program managers (day to day operations run smoothly)
4) Unsuccessful           (can't do any of the other three)

I think Walker straddles the line between 3 and 4. I hope the NU powers are
thinking beyond this season and have a solid replacement in mind. Maybe, given
our long tradition of weak defenses, we need a former DC rather than an OC.
