Maybe in the 1st half.  Penn State played a better 2nd half, perhaps
that's why people say NU was 'outcoached'.  But just as NU is one play
away from being 3-1, they're also one play away from being 1-3.

The number of points scored by both the winning and losing teams in
Division 1 games has been creeping in the last few years.  29 points is 
no longer a sure win, because I think the losing team is now averaging
nearly 20 points a game.  

This is shaping up to be another interesting year.  LSU blew a 21 point
lead at home tonight.  I wonder when the last time that happened was,
if ever?

IMHO, right now the scariest team in Division 1A is Virginia State.

And unfortunately the USC-Notre Dame game might actually mean something 
for the first time in a few years.
