[NU Sports] Rueful Realist

Maybe the Badgers will be too spent from their big last-minute comeback win over Michigan last night...maybe :-)

But otherwise, I agree with Alan, 2-9 looks really possible (meaning 0-8 in the Big10)...where is Indiana when we need them? And I agree about the good place-kicking yesterday, but yesterday proved again that NU can not afford to try to win games with FGs.

The games in the conference showed there may be more parity this season than folks may have initially believed this season in the top 6-7 teams, but I'm not sure the Cats are in that mix at all.

Tough day indeed. Much of it was was glorious in the early going, with
the Cats leading and with me talking with my daughter who was in the
student section at Ryan for the first time. She was definitely fired
up, as we all were at that point. But forget that 2-9 talk. We need a
week off to regroup, then we will be back. No time for depression. We
will beat Wisconsin. Yes, we will beat Wisconsin. -- JB
