Well, I'm here in Evanston after attending one hell of a game. Let's just go ahead and say it now: Tyrell Sutton is absolutely the most exciting running back in NU history. He's not yet the best running back - time will tell about that one -- but he is the most exciting.

I'm here with my wife and daughter, checking one of them into NU for her freshman year. She picked up her WildCard yesterday, in time to get her free admission to the game. She's now been to two NU games -- last year's Purdue "wind bowl" thriller and now this classic.

For us, it was quite a hectic week before we got here. Our older son is a student at Tulane, and he evacuated New Orleans two days before the hurricane. He and a roommate drove thru Texas, then he made it to L.A. We then had to scramble, trying to figure out where he would spend the semester. We checked out a few possibilities, but the best opportunity came his way when Syracuse U. opened up their semjester abroad program in London to Tulane students, tuition free. So, he quickly applied, wrote four essays, and got accepted. He got a passport in one day, then left for London on Friday, just as the rest of us were leaving for Evanston.

What a week! And, what a game! Now, we'll do our shopping our daughter, check her into the dorm on Tuesday, go to a Cubbies game on Wednesday, travel to Phoenix on Thursday, then root for the Cats in Tempe next Saturday. Fire up! --- Jim B.
