I'm not sure you're scouting the same Purdue team that gets press down here 
in Indianapolis.  The expectation in Boiler Nation is that the defense will 
carry the team.  They have returned 18 starters, including all 11 from one 
of the better defenses in the league last year.  Since three of the losses 
(I think the total count includes kickers, so it's out of 24, not 22) were 
their starting QB and their two top receivers, the expectations of the 
offense have been mixed.  Admittedly, allowing Akron to score 24 usually 
isn't a sign of an outstanding defense, but Purdue's should be fairly solid.
