Looks like another gorgeous day in the midwest ...
wish I were in Evanston this week, but waking up to
football ain't too shabby either for us
west-coasters.:) Some early Big Ten notes ...

* Looks like Lloyd's choking it up again vs. Notre
Dame. What a pathetic display of play calling - Notre
Dame is not that good, but a win at Michigan could
vault them into the top 10 with the way AP voters vote
and the hype is going.

* Long live the cheese-spread offense! Wisky may top
100 against terrible Temple (guess even the Big Least
has standards on kicking out the Owls) ... who knows?
Maybe this is a year like 2000 with no defense in the
league. I think Iowa and OSU may beg to differ, but
certainly Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Purdue and
some others including NU will be aiming to outscore
opponents this year more often than stopping them.

* Speaking of Minny, the Gophers run all over Tulsa
and then Oklahoma -- coming off an embarassing loss --
can't even keep the lead in the second half at home?
Sheesh, I've been calling them overrated for awhile
now, but the Big XII may be in worse shape than
thought. Maybe this is Mack's year <shudder>.

Not much else happing yet -- Illini, PSU and Purdoooo
look to be rolling, but the big one is tonight after
the Cats game. Hopefully we can keep pace with a 2-0
start and beat those Huskies.

GO CATS!!!
