[NU Sports] Interesting news from Arizona ...

The Arizona Republic reported today that this
weekend's LSU-ASU top 20 showdown has been moved to
Sun Devil Stadium because of relief efforts for the
hurricane in Louisiana.

It's obviously understandable news and overshadowed by
human tragedy ... but the change really helps put the
Sun Devils' in line for a special season. They face
two top 10 teams -- LSU and USC -- in the desert in
the next four weeks and two big home wins in the heat
could vault the program into national title contention
with no Cal on the schedule.

Of course, this means NU is now sandwiched between two
mega-home games for ASU at Sun Devil Stadium (after
us, they take a trip to Oregon State - no gimme
either) -- so let's hope they're so pumped up for LSU
and USC that we can slip in a "doughnut game
surprise."

Between that game, ND/Michigan and Texas/OSU, it's
gonna be a heck of a weekend for college football
fans! I expect our little Chicagoland war with NIU to
be a fun game to watch and a closely fought contest as
well.
