[NU Sports] Appeal for assistance in Chicago

Please excuse the fact that this post has no connection to NU athletics.

This message is targeted to list members who live in the Chicago area. My
girlfriend just spoke to her parents in Atlanta and found out about a family
friend who has been displaced by Katrina. 

Marie was returning to Tulane last week for her senior year when she, like many
others, was forced to evacuate. Thinking it would be like previous hurricane
drills, she left town with three days of clothing. The contents of her
apartment have been lost and she will be completing school at Loyola in Chicago
this year. 

Her parents have found her an apartment near Loyola. Unfortunately, they had
already paid her tuition, so they are a bit cash-strapped right now. If you
have any extra furnishings (bed, table, chairs etc) that could help Marie get
settled in her new apartment, please contact me. You can email me at this
