I didn't get that impression from the field. We had a
few plays of pressure from Michigan, but I thought the
O-line did decent. What killed us was the Michigan
linebackers. Instead of running at them, we ran
sideways and they never allowed us to turn the corner
(except on that one option play). And their DBs and
LBs were ALL OVER our 3-yard-outs and screens.

Oh yeah, I had repressed those dropped balls.

OOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

Those hurt a lot, too!

I did see happy feet ... I didn't take that as much of
pressure as Baz growing a bit trigger-jumpy after
those picks.

UGH! No kidding. And I have NO idea why we ran so few
times. It wasn't like we were down big in the second
half and had to abandon the run to air it out (because
we DIDN'T THROW DOWNFIELD DANGIT!!!!) ... those
penalties and 2nd and long played a role, but still,
we just never ran it right at Michigan.

Definitely. Even some of the Michigan fans I talked to
were shocked with that, having been used to a kicker
who missed a chip shot FG or two every game for the
last decade or so.

Still, we played with fire big-time with all those
punts and Breaston standing at midfield ... but never
got burned. We lost field position, but it didn't
explode in a return TD as I feared all night.

Whatever that game plan was ... BURN IT! Come back
with a vengeance on O next week because we gotta beat
those Hawkeyes!

GO CATS!!!
