A Game 6 Saturday night might have been nice for
Chicago sports fans, but I'm glad the Sox swept. Now
they can celebrate, be giddy and all ... and when it
comes down to Saturday night, all of Chicago and the
nation can turn on ESPN for the big game.

Hopefully we can make it a great week for Chicago and
get the big win that could add a little more to that
2005 above, like another Big Ten title!:)

As for the Sox fans -- having worked with many
die-hards during my days in NW Indiana -- I'm happy
for you and congrats - enjoy it.

I'm also happy that baseball is over, because not only
does that mean The Simpsons and Fox Sunday are back:),
but it gets baseball out of the way for America's TRUE
sport, FOOTBALL! And we got a whopper of a game on
deck for Saturday night!

BTW - I also saw on the Web site about the Halloween
HOOP-la promotion. Nice to see NU getting some kind of
"Midnight Madness"-esque thing going to support our
cagers ... and doing it in the afternoon before the
big night game was also a good idea. Also kudos to
Michael Wilbon for coming back to emcee the event.
Some of our alums like to tote out the purple when
it's fashionable (I'm looking at you, Musburger!:) ),
but I saw Wilbon at the game in Tempe and he was just
quietly out there supporting the Cats -- no fanfare,
just a fan.

MAKE NOISE!!!
