Har-de-har har. Remember that that was the year of the
Rally Monkey. I LOVED the thundersticks!:) Would they
get old every game? Yes. But for special occasions?

Hey - I've mello-ed in my old age and I do try and sit
down most of the game so the folks behind me can see.
But I'll be darned if I'll sit on third down this game
(plus I'll be in the NUMBalum section where it's
EXPECTED that you stand).

I dunno - maybe it's a student/NUMB mentality still
that you stand all game and make as much noise as
possible. And I'll take a thunderstick over a trumpet
any day!:)

AMEN! I **HATE** the wave. It's basically 70,000
people with ADD who say they're bored and want to do
something stupid. Watch the friggin' game and cheer!

As for other schools and noisemakers ... I'll add to
the list the cowbells at Mississippi State, the
airhorns at the old Jungle in Cincinnati.

And remember - at least you're outdoors at Ryan Field.
When Coach Carmody gets the Cats into the NCAAs,
you'll have 8,000+ purple frenzied fans in Welsh-Ryan
making it a box that REALLY rocks!

Fine with me - I've still got a bounty out for anyone
who can throw a dart and let the air out of that

Now **THAT** is a stupid, tacky and unnecessary extra
to the college game.
