[NU Sports] annoying fans and PA announcers

Roy, I didn't get the impression that this is one of those deals, but maybe
I didn't pay attention to the plug at the end if there was one.  It seemed
to me that they were from Medill's student broadcast news program or
something of the sort (they were wearing sportscoats and ties).  I really
don't mind it as a concept; I just didn't care for the way the updates were
presented.  -Joe

The on the field guy is probably coming from minor league baseball, where
they have one, sometimes two or three yahoos [a guy and gal, sometimes
appearing to be refugees from the local pop music station] who run around
trying to add some "excitement" with wireless mics doing promotions, etc.
Their presence is primarily about money - the stuff they do is usually a
tie-in with sponsors and ads along the fence.
