I agree. It used to be that national cable had a smaller potential
audience than a regional over-the-air broadcast, but I highly doubt that's
true anymore. I'm not sure how much of an audience the 11:00 CT games get
in the Pacific time zone, but the 70% of the population of the country that
lives in Eastern or Central sure seem to tune in to them.
The late ABC game still has a bit of glamor to it, but that's faded
somewhat since Keith Jackson stopped doing anything but west coast
games. One of my big regrets from 1995 is that I missed PSU at NU on ABC
because we were in East Lansing for Michigan at MSU.
