[NU Sports] Mid-Season Predictions

Boy is we upset MSU --and are not ranked, then something would really be amiss--It is a foregone conclusion in mind that beating MSU would get us ranked. Then the game the following week vs Michigan in the evening on ESPN would be watched by many throughout the country (though might have to compete with the World Series)

Jim,
Not just "Bowl Bubble"; the game this week may have more impact than  that.  
I predict that if we upset the Spartans, who are currently ranked in  the Top 
25 in all of the polls, we will see a Purple presence in those polls a  week 
from today, as we would have 2 wins over ranked teams plus the  heartbreaking 
loss to PSU.   And our Big 3 playmakers are garnering  enough positive 
recognition to help our cause with the pollsters as well.
