I noticed something in yesterday's victory that indicates just why our offense is such a juggernaut. Forgive me if this is very elementary analysis.
Baz is reading defenses prior to the snap better than ever, and is also checking down to his third or fourth option on most pass plays. He looks like a pro quarterback out there. His head is on a swivel out there as he reads the whole field. Add to this the protection the O-line is giving him, and it's no wonder why he can't be stopped.
Why is he so much better this year? I'm sure it has a lot to do with experience and maturity. However, he also graduated in August. He's probably not carrying more than one or two graduate-level courses now. That leaves him plenty of time to study game film.
I'm sure there are QBs with better arm strength out there, but I wouldn't trade Baz for anyone in the country right now.
