Yup - any sputtering with the offense in the second
half was not Baz's fault. He placed the ball on the
money all day, even if being chased or rolling out
against his body. Wow! He willed us to a win despite a
tough day running the ball (I think it's because
Purdue knows our spread game all too well ... I hope
that's the reason).

It sure seemed like it. We aren't close to a dominant
D by any means, but I loved our attitude change today
from the first part of the season. We weren't going to
play it safe. If we give up a big play, so be it, but
we're hitting hard, hustling to try and make a play or
a tip, putting pressure and blitizing and just playing
aggressive defense. It paid off at the end with the
pick and four turnovers on the day.

Yeah - I could go for that every week. Big yardage?
Yes, but we also have been getting big turnovers from
the D lately.

Exactly (and soooooo close to 5-1). No easy games
left, but we're in position to have a chance at the
postseason in mid October and that's where we've been
the last few years with Walker ... and where NU was
seldom at before that 1995 Rose Bowl team changed the
rules on football expectations and Evanston.
