[NU Sports] defense

The hope I have for the defense is that since it is so
young and green, it can still grow and improve. The
run defense has gotten better since the NIU game --
after what NIU did to the defense running I thought
Wisconsin would gain 800 yards rushing -- and as it
firms up the pass defense may well be getting better
too. 

I did think there was slightly better pressure on the
QB vs. Wisconsin (at least listening to WGN) and the
defense came up with two picks. I realize massive
improvement is necessary, but if this bunch learns and
becomes stronger and more confident, I see good
things. After all, with Baz, Sutton, etc., the defense
does not need to be the steel curtain II; steel wool
will do.
